Biography

Doris Baehl was born one of fifteen children to her parents in the early 60's. While growing up on a farm in a small town in southern Indiana, she embraced the simplicity of life and God's creation which surrounded her. Her faith as a devout Christian inspires her to use her artistic talent in sharing His incredible love and beauty in creation, whether it be in nature or people. This is evident in her unique style and blend of brilliant colors. Her paintings convey emotion from peaceful landscapes to turbulent skies. She allows her feelings of the day to carry through her brushes onto the canvas. Doris draws inspiration from the scenes around her and from the fantasy places in her mind. She invites you to join her on an escapade to these places through her art.

A devoted wife, mother of nine children, and loving grandmother. Doris is dedicated to her family and is often influenced to create because of them . Through her art, she communicates her loving kindness with the hope of touching the heart and soul of those viewing her work. Doris is thankful for the opportunity to share emotion and inspiration through art with the rest of the world. Her diversity allows her to work with several mediums to create an array of landscapes, seascapes, realistic as well as fictional scenes, murals and drawings. She welcomes the challenge of creating custom artwork on a variety of surfaces for her clientele. Doris aspires to make a connection with her audience by inviting you to view the world anew through her artwork.
